Big Gale 2023

Sorry if you clicked here expecting a series of work inspired by the insane windy weather that's been battering Scotland, this is in fact fan art of a wizard from a video game. Baldur's Gate 3, which pulled off the feat of winning Game Of The Year despite being mostly held together with string and wishful thinking.

Anyway! This was made as a Christmas present to myself and I'm looking at it hung up right now as I type this! It's watercolour and mixed media on 300gsm Fabriano Artistico hot-pressed watercolour paper, Imperial sized (56x76 cm or 22x30 inches).

It was painted with the same process that I used for Sellisternian at the beginning of 2023 and was a lovely way to end the year. This gallery includes in progress photos and some close ups, go take a look and hopefully you'll have a MAGICAL time.
