May 2023 Update
May is coming to a close and honestly the thing I've been most dedicated to is...video games! I literally spent 140 hours playing Cyberpunk 2077 and regret nothing. But I also got plenty art done, including this A2 watercolour portrait of my beloved Nomad son V (Cyberpunk protagonist). I also plan to do myself a Ghost (the band) painting for my birthday in July so I'll probably end up making a Fanart 2023 section at some point.
If you read my last update you may remember that I predicted I would spend most of the coming month working in sketchbooks...nope! I did finish Doodlebook though, click the front cover below to see the full thing:
Instead I did a bunch of work on something I'm calling Reframed in which I gesso and then work over old picture frames in paint on collage. I fancy doing more so I've made a dedicated Reframed section in my Art index, click the composite below to check them out:
I also did six acrylic landscapes and loved the larger scale. Again, I've started a specific gallery for this year's acrylic landscapes, click the composite below to take a look:
If you're around Dunbar you can also see one of my pieces at this exhibition, click the flyer to follow the link:
Next month I'll be prepping for the Studio Club's July exhibition and again I'll update you on the last of the month. If that's already up I'll link it below, otherwise thanks for reading early and have a great month! OK bye, back to the Xbox.
