September 2023 Update
I was looking forward to September and the release of Starfield, a much anticipated video game. So most of my evenings have been spent on my new career as a starship captain and general cosmic menace but I've still managed to make some art.
Here's three wee canvases that I painted this month under the title 'Sea Breeze' and to compensate for the lack of seaside in my summer.
I also painted this 60x50cm canvas for my mum inspired by NBC's Hannibal, mostly in acrylic. I'm particularly pleased with the texture and pattern on his suit.
Here's an A3 watercolour and mixed media painting I made for my bedroom wall, elvish and fantasy in theme. I have to ration myself or I would do nothing but silly elf paintings. In fact I think making silly elf paintings are my earliest art memories? Well, it's still fun!
I also finished up these two little watercolour sketchbooks, one for warm-ups and one for two minute landscapes. You can click on the front covers to go on the full tour:
There's also six pages of cringe Baldur's Gate III fanart that I will never upload for less than a million quid. In other news the Galashiels Studio Club starts back up in October and I'm running the first session with a focus on watercolour and colour mixing. No clue what else I'll end up painting in October, depends how big of a studio I can fit on my starship, but you'll find out in my next update! If it's already up I'll link it below, otherwise thanks for reading and have a great month.
